The Oxebar Fermentasaurus is the world’s first conical PET fermenter that is pressurisable up to 2.4 Bar working pressure. This new model of fermenter has only been possible to manufacture using a highly specialized PET grade and a new type of PET injection/blow molding machine that has been commissioned in Springvale, Victoria, Australia. Ferment, clarify and carbonate in one vessel with the Fermentasaurus
Brewers can see the yeast in action as the Fermentasaurus is crystal clear. You can dump yeast from the conical shape and clarify the beer without the need to rack off into another vessel.
Clarifying beer by racking from one fermenter to another increases the risks of infection and oxidation. Now you do not need to waste valuable time and put your beer at risk – you can ferment, clarify and carbonate all in one vessel – the Fermentasauras!
The Fermentasaurus comes with a yeast 500 millilitre harvesting container that is pressure rated. The yeast harvesting container is ideal to save your yeast from one brew and pitch it into your next brew.
Naturally Carbonate and Dispense Directly from Fermentasaurus to Tap
The breakthrough in this new design means that customers can finally naturally carbonate their clear conditioned beer directly in the Fermentasaurus and dispense directly to tap. No need to carbonate beer in the keg or bottle. You can drink directly from the Fermentasaurus saving time and hassle. Why keg or bottle when you can drink direct from your fermentation tank?
The Fermentasaurus can be sold as an unpressurised (as shown above) fermenter. In this configuration the fermenter is supplied with a lid that just has a hole for the airlock as shown below. This basic system is great for customers that are not interested in carbonating in the Fermentasaurus but want all the advantages of the conical shape and clear wall so they can see the clarification process in action and dump yeast when necessary.
Hose Barb For Dump Valve
The Fermentasaurus includes a two stage hose barb that screws into the dump valve. This hose barb will allow you to connect tubing directly to the Fermentasaurus and gravity feed directly from the cone. This may for instance be used for bottling.
For customers that want to pressurise the Fermentasaurus a special Fermentasauras Pressure Kit can be purchased that includes a pressure relief valve and stainless ball lock posts (These are the same posts that are often seen on home brewing kegs). This special pressurisable lid is supplied with a silicon dip tube with float (As shown below). The floating dip tube is a design that when the product is drawn out of the Fermentasaurus it is always drawn from the top where the beer is most clear. This greatly improves the speed at which you can drink clear beer directly from the fermenter.
Sanitary Butterfly Dump Valve with Stainless Gate
The Fermentasaurus has been designed with a sanitary butterfly valve with stainless gate. This butterfly valve has been designed so that no threads are immersed in liquid when the Fermentasaurus is in use. Many fermenters on the market use ball valves which are notoriously difficult to sanitise as the ball valve assemblies have small cavities in them that fill with liquid and are near impossible to clean without disassembly.
Innovative Floating Dip Tube Design
When you purchase the Fermentasauras Pressure Kit you get 60 centimetres of silicon dip tube and a stainless steel ball float. These components are sold separately and can be used to fit onto the dip tube of a normal ball lock or pin lock keg. The main benefit of a floating dip tube is that you are always drawing liquid from the top of the vessel meaning you can drink clear beer even before the yeast and sediment has completely settled to the bottom of the fermenter. Why drink the sediment from the bottom of your keg when you can drink clear beer from the top of your keg or Fermentasauras?
