I put a tea spoon of sodium citrate with my DIY 400g maltodextrin/fructose mix for training and ironman 70.3 events. Seems to work pretty good

I mix my own Maltodextrin/Fructose mix for Ironman 70.3 races. This stuff is great value and the DE rating is a little better than some of the other resellers (minor benefit). Shame they don't sell the Fructose though!

Great yeast. I used the rum yeast nutrient as well and it finished off a 9% wash in just over 3 days and smells like it is going to produce some really interesting flavours.

Ministaves AB smelled delicious from the packet BUT.... EACH STAVE was 40mm wide or less. I know BeerCo specifies an "approximate" size of 180mm long x 50mm wide x 10mm thick, my 5 staves were in total area ONE STAVE LESS. Cmon guys... get your measurements right!!!

Gentian root has a distinct dusty, bittersweet scent and flavour. It can be made into a nerve tea which is one part why I needed it. it is harmless tea. so I’m making the tea out of other herbs including the gentian root. The recipe can be found in Back to Eden by Jethro Kloss. I trust his work because it works for me.

This hop is just exquisite. So complex and layered. Kind of like Nelson with more fruit and some kauri pine forest floor thing going on. Wish I'd bought more of it.
